Cuba History

From the year 1966:

"I am a truthful man from the
land of the palm trees.
Before I die, I want to share
these poems of my soul.
My poems are soft green.
My poems are also
flaming crimson.
My poems are like a
wounded fawn
taking refuge
in the forest.
With the poor people
of the world I wish
to share my fate.
The streams of the mountains
please me more than the sea."

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel in a Photo Snapped a Year or More Ago:

January 11, 2026: Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has rebuffed threats from President Trump that "time is running out to make a deal." President Trump has ordered that no more oil or money shall flow from Venezuela to Cuba until Cuba agrees to terms with the United States. President Miguel Diaz-Canel is a member of the Communist Party of Cuba. Previously, Cuba received monetary assistance from Russia, but that aid stopped about ten years ago. Cuba has been receiving assistance from Venezuela, but President Trump has put an end to that.
